In order to receive Permanent Residency under Start-Up program in Canada, you require to meet the following criteria:
• contact the designated organization to find out how to get its support
• convince the organization that you have a business idea that is worth supporting
• get a letter of support from the designated organization
To qualify for the program, candidates must show results from an approved language test demonstrating ability at Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) Level 5 or higher. The test results must be less than two year old at the time of application.

Submission of start-up visa application
• filled out the Residency application
• pay your application processing fees
• Provide all your supporting and required documents
• Medical Exam: You must have a medical exam before you come to Canada
• Police certificate If you have a criminal record, you may not be allowed to enter Canada. People who pose a risk to Canada’s security also aren’t allowed to come to Canada. To immigrate to Canada, you and any family members 18 years of age and older must provide police certificates to the visa office, if asked to do so.
• Decision on your application: If your application is approved, visa office or immigration will ask you to send your passport to the visa office so they can issue your permanent resident visa.
• Confirmation of permanent residence: If immigration approves your application, then the permanent resident visa will be issued.
Bare in mind it could take from 12 to 16 months to process your application and this could vary due to number different factors such as:
there are criminal or security problems or we need to do more background checks
your family situation is not clear—reasons could include a divorce or an adoption that is not yet complete or child custody issues that have not been resolved or
the visa office has to contact other visa offices in Canada or abroad to verify the data you gave
